Verify your device with a two-minute checklist before an important meeting.

A two-minute pre-call check

Before opening the meeting link, confirm that the intended microphone and camera work in the browser. Listen to the left and right speaker channels. With a Bluetooth headset, check battery level and the active input profile. Make sure the device names selected in the call app match your operating-system settings.

  • Confirm real microphone signal movement.
  • Check the camera preview and lighting.
  • Listen to the speaker tone at a comfortable level.
  • If you use a VPN, evaluate connection delay separately.

Do not leave permission issues until the last minute

Browser permissions are stored per site. If you blocked them earlier, the meeting may not ask again. Check camera and microphone access from the address-bar permission icon. On managed computers, an operating-system policy can override the browser setting.

DeviceDoctor requests permissions in order and a rejected permission does not stop later steps. Download the PDF report to show support exactly which step had a problem.
